He is experienced in scaling up business through GTM and RTM initiatives for startups to set up operations, B2B and established brands in the market with a high level of customer interfacing, vendor management and managing multiple distribution channels and C&F agents.
Venugopal has worked in multicultural environments in cross functions and general management, which gave him the practical insights, understanding of operations in-depth and the nuances to be successful on job as a team player and as a leader driving teams through integration and handle challenges with the right kind of can-do attitude. He always looks up for challenges and handles assignments in multiple industries and is a continuous learner in the current dynamic business environments.
He has managed both the internal and external stakeholders, govt agencies and policy matters in driving growth and sustainability by managing Marcom and marketing budgets with ATL & BTL initiatives.
He has been a key member of the management team and was an active advisory member to the Board and a key stakeholder and contributor in growing businesses in the B2C segment as profit center head of two medium-sized companies. He strongly believes that data-driven decision making is a key driver for sustainability and scalability of the business.
With a passion for the ""people excellence"" aspect of the business, he had been an internal resource for L&D to influence, mentor and coach his teams towards organizational goals and professional excellence.
He set up the complete operations for two B2B companies entering into B2C domain right from setting up marketing teams, training, branding, Trademark registrations, setting up contract manufacturing agreements driving the overall supply chain from procurement of raw materials, packaging materials, productivity management and formulating growth strategies with vertical integration involving both backward integration and forward integration to manage better profit margins, better market reach and branding for sustainable accelerated business growth in the chemicals business.
He set up the complete operations for two companies parallelly in construction business and Agri business startup, handling trademark registrations, corporate business strategies and functional strategies formulation and implementation. Introduced multiple brands in similar product lines to have a brand expansion and margins covering wide set of markets meeting different market segments. These approaches led to good market reputation and brand building with right kind of marketing communication, finally leading to a good topline and market share. He was instrumental in restructuring and transforming a family-owned retail business by bringing systems, processes across the business covering all the functions with a professional approach that led to increased sales, customer satisfaction and eventually growth in topline and market reputation.
