Senior Consultant
Coming from a core academic and professional background of working in the pharma and healthcare space, Prachi is fundamentally driven to make a mark in this space for India. Working in the pharmaceutical and healthcare segments always made her realise that she is in a genuine need-driven industry and not just a want-based market creation industry. A firm believer in combining the best of all worlds to bring a successful outcome to any international cross-country business expansion.
She is passionate about introducing the best of healthcare, innovation, technology, or just plain good old businesses to the Indian diaspora, as she believes that the time is now just right to hit the ground running.
She has helped a kids food company from India set up its presence in North America. At Early Foods, they entered the market once but exited due to a less impactful strategy. She partnered with them to help them relaunch their products in the NA territory. Knowing exactly what would work and the right entry strategy (at the peak of the pandemic) was her biggest success story. In the first six months, the brand sold more units than in the previous two years put together.
One of her success stories was during the marketing of her brand for lung cancer in India, which was a Roche product. At an exorbitant price of 10 times the price of the generic counterpart, it was an uphill battle forum to conquer. After a y-o-y degrowth for 3 years, she turned around the product to a single-digit growth and then to a double-digit growth in the following year. The combination of activities to manage his internal as well as external stakeholders was key to putting the brand back on a growth trajectory.
